The Case of the Missing Sippy Cup

As many of you have experienced, it isn't uncommon to lose a sippy cup or two over the course of time. I will admit that with the twins sometimes I forget to pick up the cup that rolled under the couch until an hour later and I find myself on my hands and knees looking for the cup. But, usually I never lose a cup completely when we have not even left the house. So about 2 weeks ago I could not find one of the boys favorite sippy cups. I searched high and low, in the usual spots, but I could not find them. I had just assumed that the stress from being a mom had totally fried my brains and I left them at church never to be seen again. So two days ago we are sitting at the table having lunch and Caleb turns to me and says " What is that blue thing on top of the shelf" he was referring to the plant shelf in our main hallway. I could not believe it there was the sippy cup. One of the twins and I will bet on Thomas had thrown it up there. Now part of me was impressed because it's about 10 feet off the ground, the other part of me was terrifed to get it down not knowing what kind of nasty experiement had grown inside. (Thankfully the cup was basically empty and only had a small amount of now feremented apple juice.) One mystery was solved. But, where was that other cup. Leave it to Caleb while I was cooking dinner tonight in the kitchen Caleb said to me " I think I did it again Mommy", and sure enough on the opposite plant shelf was the other cup. I think I have a future detective in my midst. So next time you loose a cup, try the plant shelf:)
