This poor little mockingbird was trying to stay warm in the tree outside our front door. My children on the otherhand wanted to see it fly. Despite it's best attempts to ignore the screams of my children and the banging on the front door this poor little bird took flight. My kids were so excited you would have thought that it was Christmas morning. I am sure like the so many other birds that have tried to seek refuge in our tree, this one will never be back.
