Flashback

I have been looking at some many blogs lately to get ideas and because I am just interested in what others have to say. I came across a blog that is doing flashback's of things that have happened in the past, so I thought I would do my own. Jen Murray's was the first launch of this idea and she is documenting their story of infertility through flashback. I am taking a different spin on it. So here is my first Flashback challenge for you. Tell me about your first date with your husband. I always find those things neat. link back to here in your post so we can all gush at the sweetness of your first encounter.

Here is mine.

There is some debate about if this was truly the first encounter William and I had. Let me first say that we knew each other from a friends church for a few years, but he thought I was stuck up (me, no way) and I thought he was gross because he was such a boy(running, yelling you know the type:)) Not to mention he had a mullet. For those of you who do not know what that is I am not referring to the fish, i am talking about business in the front party in the back, redneck kind of haircut. Anyway I digress William says that after many years my best friend invited him to an art show to check me out. I don't recall even seeing him there. (maybe I was stuck up) So I don't count that as our first anything because I think you should be aware that the potential mate is in the same room. So a week or so later that same friend invited us both to go bowling and we could not stop talking. I don't remember much about the bowling I just remember thinking I could not wait to get home to see if he called. He did and we talked for hours. On January 17,1999 we had dinner at the same friends house after a week or two of phone calls, we had spaghetti and watched One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest that night at her house. When the night was over he walked me to my car and kissed me goodnight. When I got in my car the radio was playing "And then he kissed me" and I never kissed anyone else after that. I fell head over heels in love with him and we were married three years and 2 days after that night.

So bring on the stories

Cute story! I will post mine soon, probably Saturday because I already have tomorrow planned. You should start a Flashback Friday and put Mr Linky on your post for everyone to hook up to! It could be your own little blog carnival!
